The Long Time Texas LLC
2022 - Present
I work with the client to promote and produce 30+ events annually, across multiple venues in Central Texas, which feature sandlot baseball games, live music, sponsor activations, local food vendors, a full bar, a vintage market, and more.
Keystone Achievement 1: financial profitability while increasing audience turnout and maintaining unique culture and vibe (the dream).
Keystone Achievement 2: the Austin venue has operated as Austin’s only(?!) zero-waste event facility since at least 2025 (when we began collecting data to back it up).

Wizard rodeo LLC
2022 - Present
I work with the client to promote and produce an annual one-day music festival in Austin, dedicated to keeping Austin (and San Antonio) weird just like it never wasn’t. Founded by four local artists, the Rodeo prides itself on being an artist and art-forward experience.
Keystone Achievement 1: financial profitability while increasing audience turnout (from 200 in year 1 to over 1,000 in year 6) and maintaining unique culture and vibe (the dream).
Keystone Achievement 2: orchestrated change of venue 48 hours before show time in 2024 in order to avoid outright cancellation due to weather - saved the festival!
Keystone Achievement 3: sharing a bottle of mezcal with Bill Callahan (twice) and fixing Space Lady’s space helmet seconds before her set time (once).

Me.
I (Matt Orr) have 12 years experience in event production in a variety of positions and settings from Austin to Bangkok, I get the job done and have fun doing it. Are events inherently stressful? Probably. But maybe let me help you make them less so? If you’re Ken Carter in 1979 planning to jump the St. Lawrence River from Canada to the USA in a rocket-powered Lincoln Continental I can’t guarantee you’re going to make it to the other side but there will be plenty of porta-potties, hot dogs, and cold beer on both sides of the border for the spectators to enjoy (and a couple bands playing too).
